this 3 day Rwanda Wildlife Safari takes you to Akagera National Park the only savanna park in the country covering 2,500 square kilometer gifted with beautiful scenery and represents an opportunity to see several savanna species including zebras, leopards, several elephants, spotted hyenas, buffaloes, lions, giraffes and 11 different types of antelopes including the Sitatunga a very rare Antelope as well as over 400 bird species.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – transfer to Akagera National Park
Very early in the morning our guide will pick up from your hotel and transfer you to Akagera National Park making a stopover in Nyakarambi village to see the women make the beautiful Imigongo Cow dung paintings.
you will later arrive in the park and checkinto into your accommodation where you will have lunch before enjoy a boat ride on Lake Ihema during which you will see several water birds like the occasional Shoebill stork, animals like crocodiles, hippos different antelopes and huge elephants.

Day 2 –Game Drives in Akagera Park
Following your early breakfast you will go for a morning game drive which will take about 3 hours. You will have lunch and set out on another track to see other animals. Some of the animals you will include: elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, impalas, cape elands, water bucks, baboons, bush bucks, oribis as well as topis.
You will have dinner and spend the night at your accommodation. After your dinner you will take a nocturnal (night) game drive in the park during which you will see some of the nocturnal animals living in the park

Day 3 – Final Game Drive and Return to Kigali
Today you will have a final game drive in the park very early in the morning before going starting on the drive back to Kigali where you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. This will be the end of the safari.
